This powder does work to some extent, but it's not a remedy. I have indoor only pets who managed to get a really vicious case of fleas this year for some reason. One cat is 19 years old and I've never had this problem so I'm at a total loss as to how this happened. These are some of the most resilient fleas (insects) I've ever seen. Anyway, the drops made them convulse and flea collars seem to irritate their necks. I've always used Ark Natural Neem products and spray and sanitize my home with essential oils....that has always worked. This year is the first time I overlooked the Diatomaceous Earth because I was too busy with work and school....boy am I paying for it now.Anyway, I use this powder after giving them their bath. I sprinkle it on freshly washed pet beds, rugs, my mattress etc. While it does make my cats sneeze a little, it doesn't seem to give them any problems. It does seem to vanish pretty quickly so I use it at least 3 times a week. I use it around their food bowls and in their litter boxes and it does seem to help. It is excellent on carpets and rugs though and has a very pleasant smell.
I've ordered garlic and brewers yeast AND electric flea traps and I'm going to break down and get more flea collars since they seem to be the least offensive to them. I found this powder at a discount store and bought quite a few of them. I will continue to use this product and I will purchase it again in the future. It's good for the bedding and food area and is non-toxic to the cats (which I like).
