I have a 1 year old 30 pounds female mix (lab/retriever/?). I applied two snap offs. Immediately she began attempting to rub it off on the floor and my couch. About 30 minutes later she urinated on my carpet. I'm not sure if the strong smell disturbed her or not. I took her out and let her relieve herself. The product probably wasn't responsible for that as it had been 10 hours since she went.
However, afterwards, she started pacing the area for 20 minutes. I decided she was having some kind of reaction and gave her two separate showers with mild soap. A bit of hair came off so the product might have been causing hair loss. Afterwards she was pretty much back to her normal self.
Every dog is different so I can't say this product doesn't work. It probably does. But my dog had a reaction so I encourage you to try a little bit and see what happens. You'll notice the instructions on the back say nothing about trying a little bit.
I will probably be moving to flea shampoos after this.
